Danny Moriarty is a performer, singer-songwriter, poet, and producer. Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, their work is cicadas and poppers, twang and techno, cornmeal and Xanax, silos and asylums. He works to combine the electronic textures of Black Kray, and Lil Uzi Vert, and trans IDM pioneers SOPHIE and Arca, while maintaining theatrical vocals, and an affinity for poetry. In 2024 Danny is preparing to release debut EP Stick + Poke, with leading singles “Fresh Meat” and “Gunfire” produced by himself and RØRZY; as well as several collaborations with rapper Seiavolt, singer-songwriters’ BARRET, Kiera Ellison, and Prachi Sinha, and experimentalist Naomi Yanos. The EP is a compilation of experience thus far, mostly written about the sexual ambivalence of queerness, gay teen heartbreak in the bible belt, and consequences of dreaming. The lead singles are slated to be released this June and July.
